Abstract

The project will explore the intersection of mental health and autism spectrum disorders. The paper will begin by exploring the nuance of treating autism patients and the under explored aspect of mental health treatment for these patients. The paper will then explore the current classification and treatment for mental health conditions. This will then transition to the exploration of the comorbidity between the two. Lastly, there will be a discussion of treatment options.
