Abstract

Founded in 2006, Shopify has revolutionised the e-commerce market with a unique business model that distinctly differs from companies like Amazon. Instead of providing a platform where you normally purchase goods, Shopify provides the essential infrastructure for anyone to start, manage and grow a business. This innovative approach, combined with its strong position in the market is why I believe Shopify is a great investment opportunity. Although the company's recent earnings were disappointing with net margins still negative and a weaker outlook, there are positive indicators for the future. The company has great potential to appeal to even more customers with the integration of AI into its platform, and there have been encouraging signs of Shopify better managing growth and profitability. This is why I believe Shopify is a BUY and will outpace the S&P by a wide margin as many analysts expect.
