The Effectiveness of China’s Unemployment Policies During the Pandemic Economy

As the Omicron variant of the COVID pandemic hit China in 2022, the macroeconomy took a severe blow as extreme quarantine measures resumed, disrupting consumption and production. A rise in unemployment figures was the ensuing consequence. To tackle unemployment, the Chinese government attempted to employ several fiscal policies to assure the market. This essay will evaluate the effectiveness of these policies that aimed to stabilize the economy.
